Jon M. Zimmerman is an attorney in Seattle whose primary focus is the representation of people who have been cited for traffic violations. Prior to opening his practice, Mr. Zimmerman worked as an attorney in both large and small law firms. He has also practiced family law and other areas of civil litigation. 

Mr. Zimmerman received his law degree from the Seattle University School of Law. He also holds a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

During law school, Mr. Zimmerman studied European Union law in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. He also served as the Legal Extern to the Thirteenth District, United States Coast Guard, where he prepared civil cases against owners and operators of ships that had dumped oil in violation of U.S. law and international treaties.

Prior to beginning a career as an attorney, Mr. Zimmerman served in the Executive Office of the President, the White House Office of Presidential Scheduling. He also worked in the Office of the Honorable Barbara Bailey Kennelly, the Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus in the 105th Congress. Later, Mr. Zimmerman served as one of the first staff members at the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board.

In addition to his active membership in the Washington State Bar Association, Mr. Zimmerman is a member of the Bar of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and a member of the Bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  In his nonprofessional time, Mr. Zimmerman enjoys live music, traveling, tennis, Colonials basketball, and playing guitar.
